Reliability doesn't seem to have any effect

I've been looking at how many parts it takes to repair my car this season, both of the facilities are at level 13 and most races I need 7-10 parts per car to repair (so 14-20 total), I have also raised the reliability of the car throughout the season and it seems like after 40 or so, it doesn't make any kind of difference at all.
