Choppy/stuttering race

Our league had an incredibly choppy/stuttering race during tonight's British GP. All players experienced the same issue. Screen would freeze for 5-10-15-20 seconds, uncontrollable and a complete waste.

I don't want to be harsh here but we all need to pay for this and that and all we get is this poor gameplay... This can't be right...

Can something be done about tonight's race? A re-run or whatever. Admin please respond, we are losing players because of this kind of situations!

Hi Jo, there was a server fault tonight. I'm investigating it, this was not normal service.

Something got stuck in a loop that caused the server to run out of resources, which caused the symptoms you saw.

The issue is ongoing, just rolled out some of the attempted fixes.

Looks like recent sim updates (which were done without announcement - fairly routine updates) may have caused this.
