Not able to connect race

I had the same problem   for 3 laps it said the race had finished. I came into the race at round 4.   Before that it would not load the race.   My tyres where burning as i entered the race.   This is a bug that comes and goes every couple of races.   Edit:  everyone in my league experienced this again today
